Eric Bobo of Brandon, a history instructor for almost 18 years at 蜜桃影像鈥檚 Raymond Campus, was named Faculty Member of the Year by students in the Honors program and Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Bobo said getting an award for something that is done out of pleasure is gratifying.
鈥淚 think this is a job that we all have a calling to do,鈥 he said. 鈥淲hen you get recognized for something you do out of pleasure 鈥 when you get up in the morning, you come to work and you enjoy what you do 鈥 that is wonderful.鈥
Debbie McCollum, dean of the Honors Institute, quoted some of the student comments about Bobo. Those included: 鈥淗e is passionate about history and he makes that passion contagious,鈥 and, 鈥淗is classes are enjoyable because he uses humor as part of his teaching method.鈥
蜜桃影像 President Dr. Clyde Muse noted that students must have great teachers like Bobo helping them succeed. 鈥淭he same is true whether you鈥檙e teaching history, or English, or chemistry or whatever,鈥 he said.
