Mariah Taylor, of Jackson, has been selected to participate in an education and training event in Las Vegas by Cisco Systems Inc.
Taylor is studying Computer Networking, Computer Programming and Software Engineering on the Raymond Campus. She and other students worldwide selected to attend Cisco Live! from June 12-16 will work with Cisco specialists and engineers to set up and maintain a networking operating center at the event, as well as respond to support needs. Students receive all-access passes to attend sessions and demonstrations, plus a free voucher to take a Cisco certification exam on-site.
“Being chosen for something like this makes me feel that my hard work is paying off as I’ve been attending Ӱ as a full-time student and working part-time in the Student Services area on the Raymond campus since last summer,” Taylor said. “This will be a great opportunity to network with other students and Cisco staff as well as gain hands-on Information Technology experience.”
